F3 & GT Championships, Oulton Park

Went to Oulton Park in Cheshire on Easter Monday for the final day of the F3 & GT Championships which was a brilliant day last year, and this year was no different - besides the weather! Absolutely belted it down all day long, which makes for some much more interesting shots, but isn't too good for your equipment (or sanity after standing in rain for several hours!)

Came away with over 1,000 shots, a lot of which were immediately binned as blurry panning shots, of the rest, a lot were very similar of cars being tracked around various corners, and then there is the below which I think were the pick of the bunch, including a few handheld multiple exposure HDR's which came out much better than I anticipated.

Even if you are not into motorsport, highly recommended day out with the camera to practice all sorts of techniques, including the panning shot which can be useful in other circumstances.

Beautiful shots there James. I was there on Saturday practice testing a Nikon D4 for an upcoming review in issue 122 of DP mag. Thankfully it wasn't as wet!! (though it does make for dramatic shots).
