Interesting places to shoot architecture in the Midlands?

Wondering if you can help. We're in the process of planning some practical trips for our photography club and a number of our members are interested in architecture. has anyone got some recommendations for somewhere in the midlands with a good range of modern and old buildings that we could tackle?

Don't know where you are in the Midlands but you could do worse than a wander around Birmingham city centre. Just a thought
