yeah Glenn Karlsen is the exeption to the rule, but i don't think they are HDR portraits though. I think its a technique he has perfected called "Hyper Real" portraiture. I saw his workflow in a mag that was unfortunately very poorly done as no one could follow it, not Glenn's fault but the fault of the mag. Anyway his technique emphasises a lot of layers and blending etc if i remember correctly but i don't think it was HDR, i could be wrong however.

Ah, quite possibly. But I have definitely seen HDR applied to portraits and the "hyper real" style can work really well to exagerate the details that provide character.

So nobody interested in meeting up in London for a day then? Squirrels in Green Park, street performers in Covent Garden, London Bridge Sunset, Tower Bridge at Night?
