New to this and first thing I see is so annoying!

I have literally just joined this forum and the first thing I come across drives me nuts!

What has caused such offence?

I thought I would have a browse of some of the images posted and then it hit me. The scroll bars on the images!!!! Why would you do that? Having to drag the scroll bars around to 'see' the image as the photographer intended is nuts. How can you appreciate the 'whole' image? The impact is surely lost doing it this way?

Can all of the images not be shown at a fixed size or scaled to fit?

It all depends on which method was used to attach an image, where a lot of the members just take the easy way they know. If you see an image with scroll bars, you can click on the image to enlarge the size, or just maximize your browser window.

The template that these forums run on (phpBB) are just general forums that aren't really aimed at photography, you will come across lot's of inconsistencies when users try to upload their photos to the forum, unfortunately nothing can be done about this and you will just have to try your best to ignore it.
