I do agree that the composition would look better if the pup was framed to the right. Although at the time I was laid flat on my stomach and he came right at me so I grabbed as few shots as I could without scaring him away. Then within seconds his mother came bounding over to clear me away, so I wisely got up and left. So the chance to recompose was was lost. Thanks for your kind comments all the same, it means a lot to me. -

Lovely shot, which would be even better (I agree with Josie and flindt) if the little fellow would look to the right. Maybe just frame tighter (just the way I would probably do it). Gerhard -

That's beautiful Simon! The composition does work, although I might have been inclined to compose it with the seal pup to the right, so it was looking across the frame (just personal taste). Very well done -

Charming portrait of a beautiful creature. I'd have been tempted to compose this so that the pup was a little more into the frame, but I love the light you've captured and your depth of field. Mackie? Any chance you're related to Tom?
