Bio: Not around much at all lately to say the least but still looking in when possible. Thanks to all that have commented while I've been away. Still working away on my course that takes an inordinate amount of my time but no complaints. Paul

A shot of the underbelly of our cities. This was shot on the Thames under the Thames path in London, above it's all river bank glitz, below it's the bits that people rarely see.. Hope you like. Paul A shot from Lonbain on the Applecross peninsula across to Raasay with Skye behind. Throughout my stay these layered sunsets happened a few times and I found them stunning in both view, delicacy and complexity. The croft house we stayed at was about 100 yards from the sea and this was our main view every day and night. I hope I have captured something of the majesty and scope of these skies, who needs telly!! Paul. View large if time. A small walkway over a lake at one of my local parks, liked the light One of my last from Scotland, is that a great sigh of relief I hear whispering through the galleries of DP? This one is of Sand Bay near Applecross, just caught some light on my way back from a desultory visit to Skye. Paul Taken on a walk yesterday from the Sydenham Wood looking across to Dulwich golf course, seen them playing in thunderstorms and hail here but this seems to have defeated them, mind a few were in the bar! Paul Another for my course (tourism) and difficult to think of different ways to show London. I think this must be my first image ever of this, it's just so familiar to me. Paul Spent most of yesterday frantically trying to locate images for my course. I've lost a file when I changed my pc which holds my written learning log and images for the second part of my course (about 40 exercises), found most of the original images but will have to write everything up again. So stupid and I'm so **** off. I did however come across some shots I'd forgotten about in my archive and I thought this would be a nice one to post to remind us of summer days as we approach the shortest day (in the UK anyway). Taken at the Southbank London at the water play area near Waterloo Bridge. No play for me for a couple of weeks, lots of writing to do!!! Just a little bit of curves and sharpening in PS for this shot. Paul Last one of Les Merulies of the side of the main house. The ledge under the window is actually the stone kitchen sink which goes right through the 18 inch walls and into the kitchen itself (a bit like an iceberg, most is hidden). It's a fantastic bit of history dating back centuries and is still working and in fact will be until renovation is complete (it'll be kept but not used then). I will say this, at about 2ft off the ground washing up is challenging! Pau Yes I did have a few hours of sun in my 15 days in Scotland, it was not all gloom. Came across this magical place walking in the Applecross peninsula. Arban is just a collection of a few houses with no road set above a small white shell beach.The blues were so intense that it did seem to be to good to be true and the contrast with the heavy clouds was amazing. What a window in time, 15 minutes later the fronts had met up and the sun was gone. Truly magical place and utterly pristine. Paul Taken at Sand  Bay just a few miles from Applecross village between heavy showers. Shot very low kneeling in the water as I couldn't get any wetter but the light was fantastic and the beach deserted which was unusual I'm told since the TV series. ND8 grad filter used. Early Morning at Bodiam Castle, arrived 2 hours before it opened but nice man (National Trust) let me in to take a few photo's A long time coming Taken at Sheffield Park, Kent last week by the side of one of the lakes. Seen this tree before but never in this light. worth viewing large I think. Paul Another one from the Yorkshire Dales and the great meet with Graham, Don, David and Donny. Lost track of what waterfall this was, sure one of the lads will put me right. Paul. 10 stop ND filter used for this one A shot from More London near City Hall on the Thames. Liked the scale and lines here. Best viewed large I think. Thanks for the comments on the last few pics, not been around much but much appreciated. Paul Taken on my way to Skye and The Old Man of Storr but got waylaid by the light at the castle. A classic case of dallying and trying to fit too much into one day. Got my images of the castle and drove to the bridge with the Cullins pink across the water, time for another stop! However a few photographers were already set up, nah, I'll find a better place than this, I didn't, shot lost. Then on to the old man but late now and the sun was up and the mist gone even though I was 2nd up the mountain, ah well an into the sun shot! So left at 04:30, didn't get the shot of the old man through dallying, didn't get my shot of the Cullins through stupidity but did at least get a shot od the castle with the moon. An object lesson on how not to plan the day!! Hope you like and please view large if time. Paul Taken mid afternoon at Samphire Hoe, which is apparently the newest part of Kent, created as part of the Channel Tunnel project. Very busy so this is the one of the few shots I got without people in it. Liked the way the barbed wire fence swept over the rise so made it a main feature in the shot. I always find these abandoned ruins so poignant and took this on a walk along the West Highland Way close to Glencoe, I think this area was an old drovers road so at one time this place would I suppose been quite busy!
