Actually taken for a competition, the title being 'light', and this is what I came up with. The light was on but I had a fast shutter speed so i could just capture the element of the bulb and the outline of the glass. I was happy with the result.

A photo taken of my boyfriend's working gun dog. I have always had a love of both animals and action photography. So this seemed like an opportunity not to be missed.

This image was taken while watching my boyfriend make a wine rack out of horseshoes. The type of person who can turn his hand to anything. I wanted to capture the sparks moving throught the air so I used a reasonably slow shutter speed.

Not a photo I would usually take, but saw this rose and thought it was particularly striking. I attempted to create lighting that would show as much detail as possible. Hopefully I achieved this.

I took this photo using a tripod out the window of our busy town centre house. It was a beautiful full moon, the clouds were moving so quickly across the sky that each time I adjusted the settings on the camera I would have a completely different image.

This image was taken at Chepstow Race course. Always having a passion for action photography aswell as animals, horse racing seemed to be the perfect oppertunity to practice my skills. The last race of the day, the sun broke through the clouds. Perfect.
